Sad Flower

Sweet smelling thing, what a delight you could
bring. Color bouncing from your very being. Delicate
beauty, you were once so ready for the surface
spreading your petals. Time has made you grow
thorns, thorns are now your constant companion.
winters have tried to put you out, yet you refuse
To give in. How long will you endure you once so
Colorful thing? Oh , if only they would take the
time to see all the color that you could bring.
