Mudd

the days of a man
recklessly spending
his chivalry
expecting to cuddle

are wasting away
I think that they're ending
now he's a fool
with a coat covered puddle

nature gave preference
but with man's dominance
came a wonderful reverence
it's termination
isn't worth the severance

women round the world
seem to lose their voice
in the lands were the men
don't give it by choice

the women in my world
have men on their side
on the road to freedom
they're invited to ride

tragic to me
they can't seem to rejoice

it wasn't our lock
but we gave you the key
so I wish you could see
liberator, not oppressor
when you look at me
