A Dark Thought

Darkness settles 
across the ground
Broken children
softly drown
Gardens of  rigid stars
surround
"Hold me close, God."
The whisper faint
Undaunted still
with no restraint
"Coupe de grace"
the heavens read
With reluctant minds
saids, unsaid.
