The Meaning of Life

Mom and Dad committed a terrible crime
and now we all stand before the Judge for sentencing.
With tears in my eyes, agony in my heart and remorse in my soul,
It hurts for Him to declare my punishment
Life.
On a cold December night, I entered the prison
Scared, crying and confused.
All ties to my home were severed with the snip of a scissor
And I was given a new uniform, along with a Number
 My new identity.
I was given to two inmates who were chosen to look after me.
They comforted me as I cried and catered to my needs.
When I was strong enough, I got the Grand Tour
Pain
Suffering
Misery
Unhappiness
I spent my stay trying to atone for Mom and Dad’s sins
But our crimes were far too great
At last, my day arrived and I chased the large white light
That led me to the throne of my Maker
Humbly, I asked
“Why did you send me to that terrible place?”

“What is the meaning of life?” He said
Therein lies your answer.
