Hey God

Hey God! Can you hear me? Do you have my life on mute?
I was wondering if you had some time for me to talk with you
I know you’re probably busy, so I’ll try not to take too much time
I’ve looked around and the things I’ve found are weighing on my mind

I don’t need an easy life, don’t need a pot of gold
But all this war and poverty is really getting old
It feels like you ain’t paying attention, maybe I got it wrong
I guess that’s all I wanted to say
So now I’ll just move along and leave you alone

Hey God are you watching? Please accept my apology
I don’t always do the right thing when the world starts messing with me
Is there something I can do for you? I’d like to help if I can
Maybe we can make things better, if you and I walk hand in hand

Hey God can you help me? I‘m gonna need you today
I know you have a lot to do, but sometimes I lose my way
God, I wish that I was stronger. I guess I wish a lot of things
I don’t mean to sound ungrateful, I hope that ain’t how it seems

I don’t need an easy life, don’t need a pot of gold
But all this war and poverty is really getting old
It feels like you ain’t paying attention, maybe I got it wrong
I guess that’s all I wanted to say
So now I’ll just move along and leave you alone

Hey, Kevin, I have many of those conversations with the "boss" aka God
