Mutilated Angel

Shame and fear flowing threw my veins,
Seeping in my blood, killing me and discarding my remains.
Memories dragging me down, leaving me tainted,
The presence of evil breaking me, my soul dark and wounded.

Staring at my shredded reflection,
Recalling my childhood where I was nothing more then a burden.
Craving my delicate healing, the acrid deadly kiss of metal,
Watching in a state of enchantment as my blood starts to drizzle.

Aggressively ripping open my flesh to feel release,
Bleeding out regret and betrayal is my only sense of ease.
Tormented when I'm unable to caress her sharp edge,
Falling faster off sanity's ledge.

Living life in pandemonium,
This blade for ever singing my bloody anthem.
Burrowing away in every corner, secluding our cherished secret,
Using my blade as a pen, my skin as paper, I'm the deranged poet.

Living a mystery, the image before me a lie,
Trapped in this battle with self abortion, I die.
My soul released from this evil,
Left bloodied and wandering, I'm just another mutilated angel.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
