A Golden Calf and Dancers

A golden calf and dancers

Dancers seek salvation
in the wonder of the wine
Throwing poetry to dogs
and pearls before the swine

Musicians on the stage
playing out their dirty soul
for a golden calf and dancers
as they dance on burning coal

Overhead a blinding light
kills the wisdom of the wise
Noone is pretending
or wearing a disquise

Dancers burn like paper
musicians underpaid
All for fame and glory
and a holy escapade

Night gives birth to daybreak
gods have gone to sleep
Musicians singing softly
as the dizzy dancers weep

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
