Earthworm Flys

The rain came down
Saturating the ground
The earthworm came up
To swim in the muck

The dove came down
Hearing a splish splash sound
Now the earthworm flys

I missed this little pearl first time around, sorry! It's very funny, and clever...........which in my eyes is the best sort of humour. I hope you will be posting more, I will keep an eye for your poems.

Hey James…thanks for the nice comment. I love your poems. Mine are a wee bit nasty and bitter these days. We need to think of a name for our generation. The last people on earth to remember life before computers. I was thinking about Generation Smarter Because We Had To Be…? Jennifer Young

Thank you! We are all one and some part of everybody is always an earthworm, and some part of everybody always flies, like I'm a little bit of you... Earthworms fly, didn't somebody know?

Thanks for commenting on my work. I really like this because it simply shows the natural cycle of life in a "this is the way it goes" kind of tone with a hint of sarcasm and darkness. Very entertaining and well written.
