It's the wrong time of year,
To be getting someone new.
I need time to listen,
To find out your God's honest truth.
I need to know what you like,
So I can buy the perfect gift for you.
If we end up together,
At least we gave it a shot, yeah.
If we don't last until the end of forever,
At least we got what we got.
Wake me up with a kiss.
I know one day you'll leave,
But this moment in time,
I'm not down on my knees.
If there's hope left in you,
