I Light a Candle

I Light A candle.
For all the love, and all the lost.
For all who paid the cost.
I light a candle.
For the memories that live.
All the souls who died.
For the mother's who cried.
Because, the Devil lied.
I light a candle.
I light a candle for you.
I light a candle
because, yesterday is gone.
and as I write this poem,
of flames of love everlasting.
For the times that's passing.
For every breath,
and I'm gasping.
for 9/11,
Planes crashing.
I light a candle.
For the slaves,
for the power, pain, and rage,
of my ancestors,
for the lost man,
superiors and warriors.
For the Gods of the land
who died taking a stand.
Because, I can.
I light a candle,
with flames that will burn for eternity.
I light a candle for you,
in your memory from me.
I light a candle for the human race,
for the judgement,
for the day.
For a God who gave his only son,
for us to live today.
For the pain he must have felt,
because, he made and paid the way.
I light a candle
for the suffering of many.
I light a candle
for your memory
I light a candle
even when I'm feeling empty.
Thanking God,
 that he's with with me.
that he's with me.

                       I Light A Candle
