The Message

Today he played the message
I heard her voice
My heart constricted
It had no choice
Who is this man
that robbed my soul
Why did he do it
Turn me to stone
Yesterday is over
The future unclear
Brittle bones shaking I face the fear
To him I gave my hand
my honor and trust
Into my heart the dagger he thrust
Grinning in apathy he smashed my soul
Now I am wandering bleak and alone
