Truth Be Told

Truth be told: I am just too old
For all of this
Betrayal.
Because you have left me
Countless times
While being right there.
I needed a man who wasn’t afraid of me, a man who would fight for me, a man who could hold the complicated blocks of my soul for a moment and help me arrange them without ever thinking they belonged to him after the stacking.
Instead, I built my meager house alone while you knocked blocks out of place and took claim to others, using them to construct your own mansion of A, D, F.
With all of your ignorance and arrogance, how could you possibly see me beyond your solid block collection, so well constructed and towering over me? I have so few pieces remaining. They lie here in a mess that I look upon knowing there is simply nothing left to build.
