Forward

Reflecting on the tides of loss and love
and what I thought was truth, to detriment
of soul, of self, what’s given from above,
the only path, it seemed, was to repent
for broken promises, dreams unfulfilled
believing it was me who bore the cost
of all the wrongs, for she who isn’t skilled
in love will be the cause of what is lost.
When time and bitter tongues reveal the past
yet fortune finds a way to penetrate
the walls that seemingly held ever fast...
what heart can live in such uncertain state?
For joy to flourish, pain be cast aside
and banish doubt to find where faith resides...

Yes, I agree.. wise words and a sonnet that rhymes and flows so well...
