In Light's Spilling, Still Dim

An iridescent coverlet of cool, mourning mist
Surrounds my smoldering thoughts of a hoped for tryst
My ears attune to the silence echoing from deep within
And my soul cries out in Light's spilling, still so dim

My pounding heart pours out a message as the fog begins to fade
I implore, i beseech, i beg that our meeting will not be long delayed

Please hush my pleading! Do you, can you possibly hear
The heartfelt words that are carried inside my every tear
Let our eyes mirror the musical whisperings of my dreams
And the splashes of joy by the merging of our two streams
