Gray Sins 9

There once was a man named Gray
He loves drinks on a tray
He was very drunk
And hit a big trunk
He could not even pray

A brisk, neatly rhymed limerick with a darkly comic slide from casual drinking to consequence. The clipped, traditional form gives Gray’s misadventure an effective sense of inevitability.🍻
