The One That Got Away
As i sit and think, my heart in pain
i think of times i was so vain
sometimes i think i am insane
but then i know its caused by pain
i sit and think of words unsaid
it was like a budget but never paid
go say it , my heart just said
but the mouth an unworthy aid
as i sit and pen pen this page
i have grown, confidence and age
though my heart sits on the edge
i know this is but a stage
so as i sit, my heart makes way
for the one that got away
