First Proper Love

first proper love,
power and Aphrodite, lady of the doves.
did she choose,
she chose for me to loose.
the pretence of love for a while,
until she cut the threads I am only a child.
I allowed myself to love,
forgetting the lady of doves.
I thought you were the one,
I thought you were that special someone.
I still think you are,
But maybe I am trying to cover certain scars.
I thought I had moved on,
but still I find myself thinking of you.
I shouldn't,
I cant.
It shall only bring me pain.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
