My Messed Up Family

I want you to look,
At what you've done to me,
You may not have held the blade,
But because of you I bleed,

Dad you left me,
Mom you hit me,
Sister you hate me,
Brother you saved me,

Leaving me was the worst thing,
That you ever did,
How do you think,
She could care for you kid,

I don't know what I did,
To make you hit me so hard,
I tried to do everything for you,
Was I that easy to discard,

If I did something to make you mad,
Please tell me what I did,
I look up to you my big sister,
And remember I'm just a kid,

I want to thank you,
For always being there,
To help me through the pain,
I know life isn't fair,

Now this is my messed up family,
Hopefully yours isn't the same,
Because trust me a life like this,
Will make you go insane

This is a great poem, but with a lot of pain. The pain you carry is felt through your poem. My family is pretty messed up too. Remember we didn't pick our family. I don't believe that any family is perfect. We have to make the best of the life we have. Thanks for sharing.... Lucilla
