To Give Or Not To Give

Is giving up a crime?
Can one throw in the towel,
Or is it considered crossing the line?
I tried my best,
But my enemy was time

I give up,
But is it mine to give,
People behind me,
They all believe.

Hope regained
Strength rejuvenated
Stress annihilated
Support appreciated

back at it again,
This time with confidence
I can do it,
My false promises

Failed again,
Not again,
No pain no gain they say,
Do they feel my pain?

Standing and falling
From falling to crawling
Back to standing
Bruised but not wounded

An animal is worst when wounded
Am wounded
Am an animal
Stay back,
I don't give up
I attack,

For if we give up,
What would we be left with to give?

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
