Last Night, I Scared the Boogieman

I wore a tiny hat
knitted with threads of honesty,
but not knowing
what he had come to see…
I scared the boogieman!

Behind the creepy-crossed-eyes
I couldn’t tell, he was a sheep or a wolf
Yet to tell the whole truth,
I had myself to blame
Knowing
That’s how he made his fame-
Lame,
but as much as I hate the game…
I had to scare the boogieman

He was the one who was set out
to give me stress-
A corporate bully, at his best
who must’ve taken me for something less
Trying to make me stray
 stealing my entire day
While with a grin
Made me a prisoner in my own skin.
That’s why!
I scared the boogieman.

Oh those corporate bullies I'm glad you'd scared it , Johnny! I was looking into my favorites...there you are!(I don't have scores of people there). You've not posted since a very long time, I hope you come back! Wishing you the best!!! Mikki

Oh man..I'm glad you scared him off! Don't care so much for that "boogieman" sort of person. He surely must be akin to the "Jabberwocky"?:) A fun write, Johnny..gave that claw and tooth type a mind kick! I know this is serious, but I can't help smiling. Surely this 'corporate' tyrant was in need of a power enhancement? Wishing you and yours the best..may God bless you all!! Mikki
