The Childrens Voices Echo

The childrens voices echo

When silence falls, and children quiet
the empty orphanage lingers upon us.
With deathly hollows and darkened space
 the childrens voices echo.
Once filled with laughter and joy
 the empty orphanage
has been blown to pieces by friendly fire.
When the silence falls, and children quiet
the missile detonated upon the singing choir.
The songs of peace destroyed by sounds of war
 the childrens voices echo,
for the empty orphanage stands no more
Be forwarned that the ground you stand upon
held the orphanage that was not empty
on that dreadful day of war.
When silence falls, and children quiet
 their voices will echo
and haunt the empty orphanage forever more
