What If

I’m a young poet yah that’s who I am
But Black History do you know what that mean
Yeah we free
But only from the white man
Til this day we still serving don’t you understand
We not really free
We just don’t work in the fields til we bleed
But still we constantly get beat
Not by whips or get hang by ropes
But still in my heart we get choke
Calling each other niggas within different race
If you White Mexican Chinese and exedra
You shouldn’t be know as the slave name nigga
I take my hat off to those that die
Because they are the ones that took free into pride
Young people can’t you realize
If it wasn’t for Rosea Parks we still be on the back of the bus
Are even Martin L King JR
That stood up and told the people about this dream
And took a bullet from a person that didn’t like the word free
Take is time and think about were you would be
Half no not even half of us would be in these sits
We could be don’t south wishing we was free
People were killed just by saying a speech
About being free
Knowing your Black History while you can
If it was for them we still be under a white man
