Drugs In a Carbonated Beverage

Here we sit together,
Sipping sharp bubbles flooded in sweet syrup.
He chugs one,
I sip the other.

His head is high,
My heart is low.
He smiles,
I sigh.

He holds me tightly,
I urge to turn away.
He caresses my lips,
I hold him closely.

The smell of his breath,
  illegal it seems.
Dilated eyes,
Sees through Death.

He swallows ecstasy,
   Sip, by sip.
His body is empty,
Now filled with dizzy.

I love him.
The vessel loves me.
He sits in clouds,
My soul sits grim.

Here we sit together,
Sipping sharp bubbles flooded in sweet syrup.
I am one.
He is the other.
