Time is mine

Time Is Mine

I watch the clock as the seconds tick
Each minute moves so slow
I don’t know why you are not here
I can feel the loneliness grow

You promised you would not be late
That promise is now completely broken
How many times does it take to know?
There is no truth to the words you’ve spoken

I always believe the words you speak
More times than not my dear
The words you speak are just not true
And it has caused me many a tear

You think because I am lonely
I should be grateful for your time
That used to be the case my dear
I waited with time that was mine

I shall not wait for you again
And I will not waste any more time
Your time with me is done
My time is precious and it is mine

I will more wisely use my time
I am not too sure what I will do
There are many ways to spend it
But it won’t be waiting for you
