If Once

If once you ever loved me, let me know.
For pipe dreams in the sky do fade away.
Before I leave your life, please tell me so.

Though past mistakes we made have brought us woe,
the hope that once we shared is here to stay.
If once you ever loved me, let me know.

Years on straddle fences take its toll.
Too deep for wounded hearts to ever say.
Before I leave your life, please tell me so.

I miss the crisp moonlight romantic stroll,
and stolen passion moments of the day.
If once you ever loved me, let me know.

Your eyes, your smile, your kiss that makes me glow.
Are now too high a price for me to pay
I hate to leave your life, I love you so.

I cry deep tears of sorrow as I go,
and pray that we find us again some day.
If once you ever loved me, let me know
before I leave your life, please tell me so.
