The Footprints of Love

When we go out we have a table set for two,
Baby girl just me and you.
I feel you by me at my side,
But yet inside my heart is where you really abide.

I do believe that their is love that we share,
I just want to be the one who will always be there.
I will give you what you want, and when you need it
Because our love is supplemental and I am willing to feed it.

If I tell you I love you and mean it from the bottom of my heart,
Don’t pretend to love me with a love that can easily depart.
Our hearts are beaten up, tattered and frail,
If only we could fix them and be put on the right trail,
Than someday we could be together with a love that would never fail.

One day it will hurt when we won’t even be able to say hi,
And it will hurt worse when we both have to say good bye.
That day seems to becoming fast,
And maybe then our hearts will be settled at last.
