BUTTERFLY

There in the flower Heaven we met each time to have our peaceful meetings.
We met in different beautiful colours in the mornings, afternoons and sometimes evenings
Though a very dangerous place to meet,
The aura, fragrance and the beauty of the Heaven made it our preferred choice of feast.

Peacefully we cling on dancing flowers
Stuck so deeply we are lost in memories with the sweetness of these nectars.
Our hearts are never at peace because from afar we could here the feet of men crushing through our Heaven these angry farmers.

From afar I could see the flapping beautiful wings of my friends in motion.
Our peace has been hit by a dart of negligence from these army of farmers who think and feel that driving us away is their best solution.

In their minds,we are their worse nightmare.
I don't blame them though, because they can't remember that our pollination led their fruits to bountifully bear.

Their wicked actions however did not in a minute deter us from visiting again our abode of peace.
Because like the conclusion of the puzzle we had at our abode found the last piece.

Clinging on one beautiful flower one-day,the sun was full of smiles, the birds cheering and the wind whispering in admiration to our beauty.
Grandpa butterfly decided to tell a story.

He began with an advice as words rolling from the lips of a preacher.
He carefully showed me how ugly I was and how all and sundry called me a caterpillar.

Without wings and crawling on my belly.
Dejection and rejection clothed me like a rotten jelly.

These words opened the eyes of my heart.
I at this point realised once in my life even had glory more than me the Bat.

From here I never let the admiration of people get to my head.
Aware of my beauty YES, but focused forever on the hard and lonely journey ahead.
