Mirror Mirror On the Wall

As I stand looking in the mirror what do I see
once a girl now a woman is this really me
my eyes reveal the depth of my soul
so many stories some yet untold

As I stand looking in the mirror do I accept the reflection I face
I begin to take a deep breath and put all my thoughts into place
what is my purpose why am I here
this question to many is still unclear

As I stand looking in the mirror listening to the beats of my heart
It is then that I realize that my journey has to start
the hopes and dreams that I need to make true
leaving behind the fears and doubt that I once knew

As I stand looking in the mirror reminiscing of the past
I must let go and stop hiding behind this mask
all I need to do is use my voice
trusting myself to make the right choice

As I stand looking in the mirror my mind body and spirit connect
this is the part of me I will no longer neglect

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
