Something You Earn

You're there
Right there
But somehow you're not there at all

Looking now
Even now
Your eyes stare like a barren wall

Always leaving so I can't see you
Forever going and leaving me behind
What's the logic of your actions?
If only I could read your mind

Take time
Anytime
To set this impossible mess straight

Always late
Too late
Sorry, but I feel as if I I shouldn't wait

Now it's my turn to leave
Never again will I return
Maybe now you'll realize
Respect is something you earn
