New Year

January a month of chills
But for us a month of thrills

You and I will start our life
As a husband and a wife

We will start the New Year
With family and friends and good cheer

We say our vows and when it’s done
From this day forward we are one

Pictures, cake, a garter toss
A tribute to our recent loss

Food and drink for everyone
Music, dancing, oh what fun

The bouquet flies, the girls will run
Who will be the lucky one

Soak it up, take it in
Before we know it, the day will end

That’s alright if our day goes fast
We have our love, which will always last
