Once Upon a Time

Your whole existence just amazes me,
I'm so happy now that we can call us, "we".
Before I met you, your aura slowly drew me in,
I knew I had to talk to you, even though I was afraid to get hurt again.
I've met many guys but to you they cannot compare,
You just have so many good things going for you... It seems almost unfair.
I tell you that you're an amazing guy but you always disagree, I do not know what i will have to do to make you see what I see!
I'm happier now, more than ever,
Saying yes to you.. Oh that decision was very clever.
You opened my eyes and my heart and taught me to trust once more,
I'm ready to let you in... Ill leave a key outside my door.
Not many things in life scare me, but at the top of the list is your name,
You give me feelings I've never had before, I knew all guys weren't the same.
You are very special to me even though we just began,
I'm very proud to refer to you as "my man";)
I don't think there's anything about you that I would change if I could,
But if I asked you to be with me forever, please say that you would.
I know we haven't been together for very long,
but darlin you make my life better than any love song.
I may be cheesy or my lines may sound dumb,
But my heart is where all these thoughts are coming from.
This is the end of my poem but here is where our story starts,
Once upon a time, God brought together two tattered young hearts...
