A Toast To Misery

Shaking to its core, the cries go unheard across a nation.

Eyes and ears are glued to a screen,
that can only translate the pain we cannot feel.

Lives are lost; never forgotten. Yet the rumbling has just begun.

Bodies move in motion, yet their senses are suspended.

Will we meet again? A promise that is lost in translation.

A restoration of faith is in order, however our doubts stand victorious.

Hopelessness takes priority, while order slips into history.

We anticipate the next chapter, filled with nothing short of misery.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
