I Am Stronger

I am stronger....

You smile at me,
Then give a great sigh.
You raise your hand,
And soon make me cry.

You say I'm not worthy,
I'm a bloody disgrace.
You solve all these issues,
With a punch to my face.

I have bled, I have lied,
I have ached in my heart.
I have covered the bruises,
Torn my whole life apart.

Then come the words,
The sorries, the tears.
The begging, the pleading,
The guilt and the fears.

But now I am stronger,
I have left all that pain.
I have left you, you bastard,
You won't hurt me again.

STOP DOMESTIC ABUSE.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Thank you. I just wanted to show that we don't always have to be victims
