Bouquet of Flowers

Bouquet of Flowers

Lilies tall
Virgin white,
Fill the vase beneath the light
On polished table standing bright,
Petals firm
Stalk upright
Beauty absolute.

Yellow sepals
Spread wide,
Within each throat they dare to hide
Finger bright rich yellow dyed,
Waving strong
Standing tall
Beauty absolute.

Tender green
Within glass,
Drink deep, stand tall to last,
One more day, before they pass,
Droop low
Bend deep
Beauty in retreat.
