Lost and Found

In his eyes, I am a rag.

Dirty and unclean.

Angered and mean.

Lost yet unseen.

Walked the wrong path.

Hid from his wrath.

Thought life was a joke.

This heart had been broke.

Slowly it began to choke.

Could not handle things no more.

Inside I grew sore.

It was time, I wanted more.

Those tears that I cried, no longer able to hide.

'Set aside your pride!', he exclaimed.

Let go of the blame.

I am here.

Give me your shame.

I'll release you from the pain.

I gave my life on a cross.

It was my father's will, I suffered no loss.

This I did for all of you.

Seek with your heart and know these words are true.

When I fell to my knees, it was then that I knew.

Tears filled my eyes and I shouted, 'I believe that it's you!'

Warm smile and a laugh.

Come, he said with glee,'you now belong with me.'
