Top of the World

My life’s turned around
Where once, I was weak
I’ve felt strength from somewhere
Now I’ve hit my peak

Rising from the depths of nowhere
I've started to find my feet
No more drowning in self pity
No more anger like a beast

I won’t be going to go back
To that person I used to be
I'm my real self again
I feel so alive, so free

I possess new energy inside
No more pain, I shall seek
With my head held high
A clearer path I can now see

I'm now standing on top of the world
Reaching up thousands of feet
I can reach the clouds,
The moon, the sun and the stars
To which I now greet

The sense of freedom
I have gained and I have won
Positivity now rains on me
I’m now whole, I’m now as one
I won't be hiding anymore
I will never turn and run.
It's now my time to live life
It's my time to have some fun

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
