Confidence

In order for me not to forget my past
I tend to leave the scars scattered
All over my body and inside my heart
feeling the pain which accompanies it
I pray it won't happen again
But you know, now that I believe
In someone else it's proof that I can believe in myself

I understand that the past is the past
And that I don't need these tears anymore

Made to stand on concrete
That's under construction
Walking is harder than I expected
You see I'm always suspicious, always confused
I'm searching for my own road out in the rain
But soon I'll be where you are
And I won't have a need for an umbrella anymore

Sadness desire betrayal frustration
Cloud my path, but I keep going
For you see I know what I must do
Believing in you now
Is proof that I can believe in myself

I understand that the past is the past
And that I don't need these tears anymore
