Power

Power is sweet
Like the taste of honey
Power is fascinating
Like the sight of a beautiful woman.
It rise, gently, it overpowers
With slow but deadly intent
It makes you drunk,
Like a drunkard
Then you lose your will and become powerless.

Power vanishes
Like air in an empty container,
It has wing to fly
Like a visiting dove.
It comes to you
You fall in love with it,
You scramble for more
And gather it like sand
Yet it returns to where it comes from,
It becomes vanity.
