Normal Shoes

Around in circles I follow

like a dog after it's tail

Chasing after anything I can grasp with my fingers.

Sometimes it's the truth that makes things hard to swallow

I want only to please, and to always be enough

Like we are two princesses in a fairytale-

in the deepest of love.

But I know that we can't be that, no matter how much I want it to.

I'll never fit those glass slippers, I'll never be able to sing

I'm just a foolish girl in normal shoes.
