The Longest Yard (Life)

At the one yard line
and one second is on the clock
Everyone depending on me
and it seems as if the whole world has stopped

To feel the weight of the world
on these very shoulders
To not make this one yard
could mean everything might be over

The crowd is on their feet
waiting for the snap
Down... set... hut
and I take a few steps back

Defenders are coming from all around
and no one is open
I shake one, I shake two
No one is still open

Two hands on the ball
It's time for me to run it in
Hit once, hit twice, keep moving, stretch out
Now everyone waits to see if I made it in.
