Treasured Keyboard

This blackened keyboard
Can tell many stories!
A few of great love...
But many more about my woes!
For I have opened,
My entire soul to it!

For I have typed and pounded...
Out so much about me!
That is why, every now and then,
I pick you up, outta of loveliness...
And dust you off... real good!

Making sure I've wiped,
Cleanly free, my finger prints...
Or the ashes and coffee too!
That I've spill over anguished
Feelings about you!

Because if this keyboard...
Does like so many, former friends,
That turned their backs on me...
It certainly could tell,
Far too many... of my treasured,
Secrets and stories,
I've revealed to none but only you!.

I mean after all,
The tears I've shed...
Your voiceless keys,
Are sure to make me weep!
For you're a friend
I must always worry about keeping!

I betcha thought,
This poem was....
About none other than you?
