Reconnect

Once upon a time,
We wanted the same world Caro,
But now you found another world,
This quick and early,
I tell you what, I’m sorry,
I’m sorry, I didn't get to hold your hands before your last breathe,
I know you won't read this sonnet, but this is my eulogy for you.
You stole my star and I’m broken inside ‘Cause you’re gone,
You have disappeared but will always re-appear in my memoirs,
Your history won't be wiped for as long I animate & generations to come,
Your death has really hurt me! Too much sorrow! Torrential tears!
I know, I will see you right there in heaven, Amen!
The fear is only God and I recollect you for being a religious lady, Amen!
I will forever love you Caroline.
But this gap in my heart you have left is so big like I'm to move mountains,
However, your street signs and symbols still stand in my head.
C-Love, we will miss you, Oh me... Oh dear… Oooooooooooh…….Oh God... Oh My.. Amen
Till we reconnect again Caroline.

This is such a beautiful, heartbreaking piece, my friend. I can definitely empathize with your grief as I have been in that sad place before. Unfortunately, we have to live with regrets for things we didn't do or say before a beloved one passes. But the good memories of these people we love will live on in our hearts. Hugs and love.
