Lovers In Another Life

Dreams of him softly invades her nights
his face almost disguises by a wisp of a cloud
eyes the color of topaze, his hair the color of the raven
she can hear him tenderly whisper,
"i'd serve your hearts dearest dream."

Every day that passes she finds herself thinking of him
yearning for his passionate touch, the taste of
his sweet kisses, stirring a strange sweet sensation
the very thought of him causes her to tremble with desire.

Were they lovers in another life, did he hold captive
her heart, her love, how else to explain this love she feels
leaving her unable to give her love to another
and if they were lovers, why did they part?

Was he out there somewhere waiting for the right mement
to return to her, did he think of her each passing day
needing to feel her warm caress, her kisses, sweet
will they ever be together again, to once again share love
will he again serve her hearts dearest dream.
