You

You could've been like all the others
you could've been so obscene
you could've been really heartless
when it came to loving me

You were really something special
you were my everything
you actually took the time to notice
when something was bothering me

You could always make me laugh
you could always see me through
you could always keep me smiling
when you found my red heart blue

I don't know what I was thinking
when I ever let you go
so while you sit there listening
here's a few things you should know

When we met so sudden
it wasn't a part of me
to be able to speak so freely
so silly, how could this be?
It wasn't like with all the others
you could make my heart shine
I'll always hold that moment
when I could finally call you mine

You were always there
You were always helping me
You were always so so patient
when it came to hearing me

I don't know what I was thinking
why did I ever let you go
so if you'll please, do listen
there's one more thing you should know

Though we've moved apart
my heart still stays the same
your memory won't ever leave it
like a tattoo of your name
It'll never be like all the other's
you still can make my heart shine
I hope you know I'll always love you
even if you're no longer mine
