I Come To Be - Backwards

This is my poem I Come To Be....only backwards!!

And Jesus shines brighter than the sun.
My life here on earth is done,
Where streets of gold are all I see.
This is where I dream to be,

So thankful, amazed and awed.
Bowing before a gracious God,
Once again, down on my knees.
This is where I come to be,

But God says, “I will restore and make you whole.”
Guilt and condemnation overwhelm my soul
Overcome with shame, on my knees.
This is how I come to be,

I fall into addiction to escape.
The love I once felt turns to hate.
Bitter and angry when someone hurts me.
This is how I come to be,

Yet Jesus gives me new birth.
The fall of man, the sin of the earth,
Born into sin and iniquity.
This is how I came to be,
