Softly Strong

I said I'd never ever break,
But I fell;
And I couldn't wake,
Only in hell.

When did I become fragile?
I used to be so strong.
Now everyday is a battle,
And those days are so long.

I never wanted to change,
Now I'm filled with fear.
Everyday is so strange;
Everyday feels like a year.

When it hit,
It hit hard.
Now I'm in a constant fit,
And it's leaving me scarred.

What can I do?
How do I get out?
I say my name, and they say, "Who?"
I'm stuck in a drought.

I'm not who I used to be.
I'm bound in chains.
I just want to be free,
But now it constantly rains.
