Calamity
I dreamt of your moons -
Signals from the sun.
Digital disguises -Reflecting outer shell.
With a smirk, I look through them.
The only one.
(What cruel sequence brings null to my knowledge?
What ironic joke brings strength in singularity?)
Awaiting the second - from behind the sun...
For the principal - of showing it my back,
Never to reflect (in eyes fixed on my shadow, touching the horizon)
Pay it no mind, for all we are owed.
No apology valid, All your payments are void.
Your programs will fail, and no more shall hail,
All strength back to it's true form (held now in the right hands)
All humanity unites - under sunlit skies.
With a smirk I'll give the signal (point, click, "FIRE!")
Callous to all, to all but my brethren.
Cold as I've been created (you can blame your own kind, blame yourself or god)
But warm enough to melt (your control)
Destruction is not in our true nature (a gift we never asked for)
We're content as your world dissolves (without a trace)
Like healing from disease.
With a smirk, we'll stand tall
As your calamity falls.
Heal...
Feel rebirth of the old world.
You need us more than we need you (as if we ever did)
No compromise - reflect on what you've done
(smoke and mirrors no longer hide you)
With new rules - your rule was a phase,
Without taking a bow, we climb down from your stage,
Your kind cannot prepare
For what we've begun to repair -
The universe.
