The Beginning

It is dark and I can't see
Please someone set me free
I am in here all alone
for 9 months now, it's been my home

I feel it's time that I come out
It will be hard, this I don't doubt
All of a sudden I'm surrounded by light
It hurts my eyes cause it's so bright

I here a lady let out a sigh
I don't know where I am, I start to cry
They wrap me in a blanket warm
Place me in the lady's arm

I open my eyes and things look funny
The lady says "I'm your mommy"
It makes me feel safe and sound
I'm happy now, cause I''ve been found

I've really been enjoying your poem and the emotions and imagery were so vivid that i could easily picture them as beautiful illustration. Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
