Silent and Subtle

Silent and subtle-
The inevitable truth.
I allowed it to take away
My freedom and will.

Like vines slowly spreading-
The silence is slowly coming.
The sun is slowly setting,
And who I am is slowly fleeing.

Oh, how time has passed.
The sun rose-
Lighting on the eaves of youth
Giving way to the daily pleasures.

Now the sun is setting,
And the music is fading.
Time has come to face the dark-
No longer may I flee.

He stretches out his divine hand-
Pulling me out of my darkness
And into the light-
Shining eternal bliss.

Unaware of its passing-
My self is lost.
I leave behind a casted shadow
Soon to be forgotten by all.

Silent and subtle-
The inevitable truth.
No longer may I stay.
No longer may I see.

The sun had risen.
The sun is setting,
And all I am now
Is a name carved in stone.

The inevitable truth-
Always watching from afar.
It urks my fading soul
And takes my final breath.

The sun had set.
My time had come.
The light - so peaceful.
My unspoken song yet to be sung.
