Hope

Bruised by night
scorned by day
love's sweet gift
forced out for pay
full of shame
unclothed, betrayed
worthless girl
without her trade

Beauty known, in dark eyes hidden,
Strength untold, this battered woman.
For her bondage Love was given;
Freedom found in Him arisen.

War-torn village
rubble strewn
scraps of garbage
serve for food
empty hands
hearts for doom
feverish death
all silence soon

In the chaos Peace will rise:
No more hunger, no more lies.
Emptiness is satisfied;
All can be in Him alive.

Lonely child
walks alone
calloused heart
eyes of stone
family ties
never known
loveless scars
fragile soul

See this orphan loved by One,
A Father and His only Son.
Into His arms of comfort run;
New life in family begun.

Really enjoyed that. The imagery was very thoughtful.
